Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: August 3, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Noble Labor collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the platform.
Noble Labor is operated from British Columbia, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable Canadian privacy law.
By accessing or using Noble Labor, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account and profile information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, trade or business details, skills and certifications, work history, and photos you choose to upload.
Work activity generated by using the platform: jobs posted, callouts and bookings, clock-in and clock-out times, invoices, endorsements, follows and connections, and messages sent through platform workflows.
Location information: the city or postal area you provide for matching, and job-site addresses provided by hirers for booked work.
Usage data such as pages viewed and activity patterns, plus cookies and similar technologies that support sign-in and core functionality.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate, maintain, and improve Noble Labor: matching workers with work, running bookings from callout through payment records, and powering search and discovery.
We use information to send important updates, account notices, booking notifications, and support responses.
We also use information to keep the platform safe — preventing abuse, enforcing our rules, and meeting legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Automated Photo Screening
Images and videos posted to the Noble Labor feed are automatically screened by an image-analysis service (Amazon Rekognition) to detect content that violates our rules, such as explicit or violent imagery.
This screening looks only at the image content for safety purposes. Images flagged by the screening may be hidden or removed, and screening decisions that affect your content can be raised with our support team for human review.
5. Contact Privacy Between Users
Your phone number is hidden from other users by default. It is shared with the other party only after a booking is confirmed, for day-of coordination.
Your email address is never shared directly with other users — all platform communication happens through in-platform messaging and notifications.
New accounts default to sharing contact details with connections only, rather than publicly. You can change these settings at any time, including making a field fully private.
6. Service Providers We Share Information With
We share information only with service providers that help us run the platform, and only what they need for that job: cloud hosting and delivery (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), file and photo storage (Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare), image safety screening (Amazon Rekognition), text messages (Twilio), email delivery (Resend), error monitoring (Sentry), abuse prevention and rate limiting (Upstash), and location lookup for matching (Google).
When payment features are enabled, payments will be handled by a dedicated payment processor; Noble Labor does not store full card numbers.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada (primarily in the United States). We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid regulatory request, and information may be transferred in connection with a business change such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Noble Labor uses cookies and related technologies for authentication, user preferences, and understanding how the platform is used.
You can manage cookie settings through your browser controls. Disabling some cookies may affect parts of the platform experience.
8. Data Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls that limit what other users and our systems can read.
No digital system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also use strong account security practices.
9. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to operate the platform, provide support, enforce policies, and meet legal or compliance requirements — for example, booking and invoice records are kept as business records even after a job completes.
Retention periods may vary based on account status, content type, and applicable obligations.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can access and update your account information through platform settings, and request a copy or deletion of your personal information through our support channel.
You may withdraw consent to optional uses of your information, and opt out of non-essential communications while still receiving necessary account and service notices.
If you have a privacy concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
11. Children’s Privacy
Noble Labor is not intended for users under 18 years of age.
If we learn that personal information from a minor has been submitted, we will take appropriate steps to remove it as soon as practicable.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy over time as the platform evolves — including when new features change how information is used, such as any future feature that generates content using artificial intelligence, which will be clearly labeled and covered here before it launches.
When updates are made, the revised policy will be posted on the site with an updated effective date.
13. Contact Information
